If you've ever tried connecting to the Internet via GPRS, you'll know how complicated and time consuming it can be. I couldn't believe it the first time I used mobile PhoneTools' GPRS feature: My connection was set-up and running in less than 2 minutes, and ever since then it's been even quicker as the software saves your GPRS connection settings (you can even save several different settings if you happen to use different mobile phones or operators).
So how do you go about setting up your GPRS connection? Thanks to the GPRS Wizard it couldn't be easier:
- Use the drop-down menu to select configuration: GPRS connections' and then click on Add new GPRS connection'
Select your mobile operator in the pre-defined list (all the major operators are included)
- Give your connection a name: DTAC' for example.
- Define your user name, password and APN (which is supplied by your mobile provider),
or simply click on OK as mobile PhoneTools completes these fields by default
- Select to use either a dynamic IP address (which will automatically be attributed when you connect to the Internet)
or a fixed IP address (in which case you need to define it), again this is set by default so you can just click OK
- Enter the DNS address to be used. Or just click OK again as this too is set by default
- Finally you specify the desired quality of service configuration (between 1 for high and 3 for low)
And that's it. In 7 simple steps you're ready to surf the web wherever you may be in the world and no matter how far you are from a connection point! All that's left to do is launch your web browser whenever you want.
If you've ever been visiting a client's stand at a trade show and wanted to show them your company web site, you'll understand how useful it could be to have a quick wireless connection to the Internet. It's unlikely that on the stand there's an available connection point and you're usually too busy discussing with the client to have to concentrate on setting up a complicated GPRS connection. A hassle-free connection using mobile PhoneTools is therefore your dream come true!

- ลืมการต่ออินเตอร์เน็ตที่ซับซ้อน ยุ่งยากไปได้เลย คุณสามารถต่ออินเตอร์เน็ตด้วย GPRS Connection ด้วยการคลิ๊กเพียงไม่กี่ครั้ง
